i made this in a somewhat unusual way: i scanned my head, then i edited the image, flipped it around and multiplied it. is that gross? tell me the truth darlings. honestly, if i thought bk would let me scan his head, i would have used someone else's.

i'm painting. i'm painting again. it's good to be back in the studio for long, uninterrupted stretches of work. yesterday and today, i made new monoprints for our living room {good lord, i am obsessed with these. and they are so perfect for the Auntie Mame goes to India- vision I have for this room.},

painted & printed some presents and prototypes for new products {moleskine journals} and made progress on some paintings. it's a good life.

and my darling friend ursula had her twins last night!! yipeee! welcome to the world, babies.

i love thursday.

another peak at what i've been working on lately. it's been one of those weeks where i could live in the studio! i love that. i created this piece using rubber-cut blocks that i designed and cut myself. my plan is to offer these in the shop starting next week. although the blocks themselves remain the same, i'm randomizing their placement and colors.

can't wait for the big launch.

just a little taste of what's to come.

i call this piece jnana.
jnana means wisdom in sanskrit, and this painting depicts the jnana mudra.
a mudra is a hand gesture that channels and guides energy through the subtle body.

such is friday.

there are a few things i love right now:
cool wind in the evenings.
my vegan experiment.
going to the woods to listen to blue-grass.
making anything more gorgeous by block-printing. (i'm officially obsessed.)

just listed: a new print.

dears, i'm so happy to report that i've just listed a new print in my shop: Beneath the Surface. the image itself measures 8 by 10 inches and is printed on 10 by 12 inch Somerset velvet paper. it is $30 un-matted, but you can add a mat in my shoppe, too.
