Wednesday.

Dudes. I turned in my portfolio. Now, it's back to work on everything else. I ended up moving things around in the portfolio at the last minute, and I think it turned out grand. I took out the tomato and blood orange, substituted going on fabulous and two pears for some diversity. So, the good news is that tomato and blood orange are going straight to the shoppe. No prints for awhile, just originals. Check it.

Dear-hearts, I am nearly finished with the portfolio preparation. Whew! I started to work on a whole new series last night and think I will add one of these two ink drawings on newsprint to the mix. I can't decide which of these is a better portfolio piece, though. Any thoughts?

Oh how I have been working myself into a fine frenzy over this whole portfolio review ordeal. Working day and night, I tell you. Here's where I am: with the two digi pieces I showed you last week, I think I am up to 10 pieces. Let's photograph the analog pieces just to be sure. Am I missing anything?

In other news, I cut off my hair. It's all good, though, because I meant to cut it off. My stylist, Todd, is a true genius and talked me out of the bob I originally set out to mimic and gave me the modern shag I tried to get last spring before I found Todd. (it's a long story. i visited a hair dresser who quite possibly was high on meth whilst she "cut" my hair.) La-la-la. New haircut.

Also, I FINALLY watched the Simpsons movie this weekend. Hilarious. And I do mean heeeeelarrrrious. If you're into that kind of humor, which I found out that not everyone is at an interview for one of my old jobs. My boss asked me what T.V. shows I watched, and of course I said that we watch nova, nature, and the Simpsons (two PBS shows cancel out one Fox show, right?). She said "not my kind of humor." Yikes!

Here is another piece for ye olde portfolio. It is a roma tomato made with layer upon layer of acrylic on paper. I think I like it!

Dears, I write to you deep from the depths of the studio, and my goodness am I HAPPY! For the most part, my pieces are drawings and paintings, but I do need to showcase some of my typography skillz (yup, that's skills with a "z") and demostrate that the computer is a friend rather than a foe with a few digital pieces. I created this piece entirely with photoshop.
