{swimsuits.}

this weekend, we traveled for my cousin's wedding. we left the mossy, mushroomy, fern-filled rain forest of home for sun-scorched arizona. i love photographing the desert. the colors are so hot, so sleepy-saturday afternoon compared to december in the pacific northwest. as much as i love visiting the more arid nooks of the world, they delight me the most in their ability to foster even more love & gratitude for my home. we returned with a smile; the rain greeted us with life.

The swimcap & the wave.

I have been working on this piece on and off for awhile now. It is getting closer to where it needs to be. Acrylic on canvas.

Speedo.

speedo

I love unearthing old treasures, especially those that I have made in an effort to chronicle this arty-yoga-friend and love-filled life. This little sketch, "Speedo," resurfaced as I organized the studio. This piece originated during the trip to Mexico for Ursula & Jason's wedding. It was inspired by an older fella wearing a speedo that didn't quite cover his tush. He had quite a sunburn, too. Poor thing!
