Here is a glimpse at a new piece I've been working on. It's on cold press watercolor paper which measures 11 * 14. The painting is roughly 8*10, so there is a nice border around the outside.
I hope to get some prints of this painting ordered by the end of the week to put in the shoppe.
Texture is really inspiring my work this week.
In other news, I have begun collecting all of the tools necessary for mailing *kelly LOVES whales* goods out once the shoppe has opened. This is such an exciting time for me, and I feel like smiling all of the time. It's happening, folks! I'm actually doing what I want with my life. Does that sound smarmy or cheesy? Please know that I mean it with the utmost degree of both sincerity and bewilderment. Three years ago, I was logging 90 hours a week as a prosecutor with no time (or unspent nervous energy) to do anything I was truly passionate about. Today, I am embarking on this crazy adventure as a thriving artist- yoga instructor - environmental advocate. Anyhoooooooo, thanks for being here with me as I take the big plunge.
