How did it get to be Friday already? This is what happens when I get too busy, too caught up in my left-brain life. Time goes by so fast and I can't even tell you where I've been. I guess I can tell you: I am working on getting licensed to practice law in another state and am preparing for the bar exam next week. This is the second bar exam for me and I must say it is a bit more tiresome than the first go around. Perhaps this is because my Colorado bar exam days came shortly after graduating from law school, so I was used to studying obsessively and letting the rest of my life fall by the wayside (this might be a touch dramatic, but it's been awhile and I am in an infinitely better head space now). Now, the bar exam just disrupts my otherwise perfect life-work-art-yoga balance. Something tells me there is a lesson in all of this. What could it be? Perhaps embracing or at least accepting impermanence? Ah yes. That must be it.
Forgive me for my rambling today. I do have a painting or two to share, since this bar study has not led me too far from my practices (yoga and painting, and I dare say that they have sustained me through this anxious time, which shall pass soon.
